Fine Antique Silver Top Walking Stick Carved Bovine Horn Dog Head Glass Eyes

A really beautiful hand carved horn dog head walking stick with inset glass eyes c1890. Measures 84 cms long , 11cms wide with a very solid shaft and metal ferrule.

The collar is guaranteed silver but only retains a feint lion passant and what looks like an m, the rest being rubbed. The collar has a vacant cartouche. Lovely sturdy stick, I have not attempted to clean it, general age related wear to collar and ferrule as expected. No other issues The colours of the dog are really beautiful, the carving is elegant and the dog is really charming and cute with no damage at all. Very tactile and one of the nicest I have seen.
