Hand Carved Celtic Design Wooden Walking Stick
This is a superb example of the wood carvers art and probably one of the best walking sticks I have ever come across. The stick has been carved from a single piece of wood (possibly pine or some other light weight wood) The handle reminds me of a Bishops Mitre and incorporates several Irish / Celtic designs, the neck is an open triple twist with the body done as a naturalistic rope work design ending with a plain metal capped tip.

There is a single defect. One of the neck twists has been broken in the past then repaired. (see photo) the break has been screwed together and glued. All evidence suggests this was done some time ago. Total length is 92.5 cm.

Handle width 12 cm at its widest point. There is some minor wear and other evidence of age and prior use but even considering the repair this is a stunning stick.
