Please find for offer an interesting folk art carved swagger stick, dating to circa 1900. Carved with four faces depicting what appears to be a colonial officer and an African gentleman.
It's possible that this was once a full sized walking stick that has been reduced in length to become a swagger stick. Width of widest part: 3.8cm. Some of the noses are slightly worn - possibly chipped that have been smoothed down but could just be from wear. A couple of slightly opened holes on the surface midway on the shaft that are likely natural flaws within the wood that have opened. Age related wear as expected but overall in good condition. Item will be sent tracked and signed-for. Antiques (greater than 100 years old) often have reduced rates of duty to be paid.
