The collar is hallmarked for -'Birmingham 1898' Makers mark. & J Zair were independent whip-makers founded by John Zair in the 1830s in Birmingham and made beautiful quality sticks until they were bought by Swaine & Adeney in 1927. This stick is ready to use or a great item to add to a collection. Despite its age, the stick is in very good condition with some dings to the silver collar.
