Antique Hand Carved Wooden Dogs Head Walking Stick Handle. This is a beautiful piece of carving with intricate and life like detail. The walking stick handle is probably beech wood, although its hard to tell due to age and patina, the dog looks like a setter to me.

The eyes are glass which adds to the look of this piece. One eye has a crack but is not disslodged or missing any pieces, please see photos. The head is mounted on a bamboo cane, this is slightly split but not integral to the piece. It is not uncommon to see this on a piece of this age.

I belive this to date to around the late 1800s up to 1920s. The overall condition is very good, with a stunning warm antique patina. This would be an ideal collectors piece.

The head is 8x6x4cm 3.14x2.36x1.57" approximately, the cane is 9.5cm 3.54" long. This item is antique and it may show signs of age or use. Please note it is not possible to list every small mark or minor defect on an antique piece.
