Antique Early 20th Century Fine Quality Walking stick fashioned in carved and tapered Yew Wood mounted with a large sized silver handle mount in the ball/mushroom top style decorated to the collar with chased, scrolled foliate details which terminate at the top of the handle enclosing to an open cartouche vacant of engraving. The tip of the stick is fitted with original gun metal ferrule in good order.
The Walking stick is of a pleasing light weight, silver fitting is in good condition but does show a few small knocks in places, nothing serious and no holes or repairs. The Silver collar to the stick is impressed with markings indicating London assay office circa 1920 along with the makers mark'BM&Co'. The Yew Wood shaft to the stick is sound throughout, no rot or worm, does shows some age related scuffs however in places to the lacquer finish adding to the overall character of the 102 year old walking stick. Very much in the Edwardian style it makes for a handsome antique collectible pieces, still perfectly useable.
