C1870, FINE ANTIQUE 19thC CARVED DOG HOUND HEAD WALKING STICK WITH GLASS EYES. A fine quality antique walking stick with a carved dog's head handle mounted on a hazel shaft, dating to the 19th Century, circa 1870. The dog's head is beautifully carved in the form of a Hound or a Gun Dog, the eyes of amber glass. The hazel shaft is strong and is tipped with a horn ferrule. Length: 89.7 cm or 35 1/4 inches.

In good antique condition, without damage or restoration, with expected pleasing signs of use to the dog's head. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
