All sticks are hand crafted using traditional stick making techniques. Once your stick is completed you will be contact before it is posted. Or you can collect your stick in person. The shank / shaft is traditionally pegged into the head piece making for a stronger secure joint. The shanks / shafts are locally sourced and seasoned Blackthorn from the Midlands. The head pieces are lime wood hand carved making each piece individual to the next one. No two heads are the same making your stick a truly one off piece. Once the head is carved the eyes are set before detailing the fur. Each head piece is hand painted before being pegged to the shank / shaft.

A nickel or brass collar can be added or not, the choice is yours. Finally a ferrule is added to the bottom of the stick to protect the bottom of the shank when used in the field. This stick is not suitable to be used for as a beating stick. Each stick is then varnished making a water / weather proof finish that can be used all year long. The only power tools used in the production of the stick are for detailing the fur.
