Each stick takes 2-3 weeks to compete from start to finish and can be made to your requested length. Once your stick is completed you will contacted before it is posted.

Or you can collect your stick in person. The shank / shaft is traditionally pegged into the head piece making for a stronger secure joint.

The shanks / shafts are locally sourced and seasoned Blackthorn from the Midlands. The head piece is lime wood hand carved making each piece individual.

No two heads are the same making your stick a truly one off piece. Once the head is carved the eyes are set before detailing the fur.

Each head piece is hand painted before being pegged to the shank / shaft. A nickel or brass collar can be added or not, the choice is yours. Finally a ferrule in added to the bottom of your stick to protect the bottom of the blackthorn shank when used in the field. Each stick is then varnished making it water / weather proof so it can be used all year long.

The only power tools used in the production of the stick are for detailing the fur. The rest of the stick is produced using traditional tools and techniques. Please see my other carved sticks or message me your requirements.
