Late Victorian or Edwardian RARE carved horn umbrella or walking stick handles. Other specialist cane and umbrella makers. Hand carved from horn (not ivory). Snakes were an extremely popular decorative motif in the Victorian period.

Love (after Queen Victoria's famous snake engagement ring). Snake-handled canes and umbrellas were fashionable luxury accessories from the 1880s through the early 1900s. Matching left- and right-hand pair is relatively uncommon. So could have been a gentleman's and lady's matching umbrella set.
