Old Sword Cane/walking Stick with Carved Bone Inlay Design, Blade Marked India
This is a unique old walking stick/cane with a hidden sword. This is a very primitive looking piece and I cannot verify its age therefore see all photos to help you in determining its condition and how authentically old it may be. Theres a raised metal lion head formed at top of pommel. It appears to be all original, blade is marked India, possibly 19th century?
Thus having some wear, marks and cracks yet still in solid condition. Cane appears to be hand carved and hand made.
There is an ebony colored bone looking type material that has a carved inlay design/pattern in the handle part which also has what appears to be a horn material in the handle part also. There is also a brass locking band/collar that locks and unlocks with a slight turn. The blade of sword also appears to be all hand made and has some pitting, a crude edge and a aged look to it. The approximate dimensions are 36 inches in total length and blade 23 and one half inches in length.
