Superb Novelty Ebonized Wood Walking Stick Cane Carved Snake Hand Initials C1900
Magnificent late Victorian ebonized hardwood walking stick / cane, made circa 1900. This is a beautiful and unusual novelty walking stick / cane with a finely carved handle with a figure and his/her arm and hand holding a snake.
The snake curves around and has the initials R L to the centre in between leaves. The handle is mounted onto a tapering ebonized hardwood shaft.
The handle is 5 inches / 127 mm wide and the cane is 36 inches / 914 mm long. The walking stick is in excellent / pristine condition. This is a beautiful and finely carved decorative walking stick.
